A new generation of expeditions
The Sky2Sea Expedition is now being recognised as the most adventurous and diverse journey ever commercially operated and open to anyone. Unlike any other expedition, this is the first time you can experience fourteen different adventure activities in five different environments, in one week, on one expedition and all in one country!
The Expedition is open to all abilities. There will be some activities that you will handle easily and others that you will push yourself on, but at the end you will have a feeling like no other – the sense of achievement, personal gain and adrenaline will be second to none.
A completely unique trip
Where have you ever had the chance to experience skydiving, bungee jumping, a helicopter ride, skiing, winter and summer mountaineering, wild camping, ice climbing, rock climbing, snow holing, abseiling, rope crossings, mountain biking, horse riding, white water rafting, sea kayaking, white water kayaking, jet boating, ocean yacht sailing and deep sea diving all in one week in one country?!
The S2Si Expedition combines glacier, snow, river and ocean travel which means S2Si are running the most exciting and accessible true source to sea missions any expedition company has ever commercially offered.
The S2Si Expedition is also incredibly diverse. Some days you will feel the intense rush of adrenaline run through your veins as you experience an activity you have never done before. Some days the sense of achievement will be overwhelming as you complete an activity as a team: you will simply not be able to stop smiling!
This is an incredible opportunity and the great thing is that it is open to ANYONE. As long as you have a reasonable level of fitness (i.e. regularly walk in the hills), enjoy adventurous and sporting activities and are up for a personal challenge, then sign up!
Experience needed?
No. The only activities where you will need a modicum of experience are skiing and diving in some destinations. As a yardstick, you will need to be able to ski European red runs, and if you want to dive be a certified diver.
DON’T WORRY if you have never skied as on the skiing morning you can mountaineer to where you will meet the skiers, and instead of diving if you’re not certified, just learn all the more from your experienced boat crew and spot amazing wildlife from onboard your luxury yacht, and carry on with the next activity! You will not miss out and will still get to experience the wonders of all of the environments.
Destinations
S2Si Expedition is such a unique programme that there are only a few select locations worldwide that it is possible to complete it. Over the last three years the S2Si Expedition development team has been searching the globe for the best locations, checking many mountains, rivers and oceans along the way.
S2Si will be running this unique expedition model in Canada, France, Patagonia/Chile and New Zealand. Every expedition will have a Mountain, River and Ocean phase, some activities may differ, but the principle is the same: “14 Adventure Activities, 5 Environments, 1 Week, 1 Country”.
Safety, Leadership & Back-up
Safety and good leadership with activities run and managed by professionals is paramount and is the key to every S2Si Expedition. Each activity will be run by local specialist operators who are all fully certified in their own activities. In most cases these individuals are experts in their field and have been handpicked by S2Si’s own technical team. All the pilots, guides, yachtsmen, dive masters and drivers will know the area and country well.
There will be a back-up team of vehicles, 4x4s, logisticians, camp staff and 
cooks behind the scenes. They will work tirelessly to meet you at the end of every day to help set up your camp, provide expertise and above all a hearty meal!
There is no obligation on participants to complete every activity. Although unusual, there may be times when an activity needs to be skipped by an individual on safety or medical grounds. This is not a problem as you will be able to jump in transport and meet your team at the next activity or campsite.

Flights
All participants are responsible for booking their own flights / transport to the start point of the expedition. S2Si have an arrangement with Flight Centre whereby they have arranged a 'best-fare price' for all S2Si clients. There is no obligation to use Flight Centre. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you need assistance.
The start date of your expedition is listed on the web site. S2Si staff aim to meet you at the arrival airport. We will collect you at no additional cost if you arrive up to one day before the start of the expedition; however you will be responsible for any extra accommodation or food you require before the expedition starts.

Activity & Weather Disclaimer
Please note that although S2Si and its guides / staff will do all they can to ensure the activities take place and are completed, we cannot gurantee the local weather conditions. Nor can we gurantee the river, mountain or ocean state. The dates are delibertly chosen to tie in with the best seasons to travel.
If, due to weather conditions or on the grounds of safety, the S2Si guides decide not to complete an activity, an alternative will be provided.
